Jenna and Mike had their vow renewal and wedding reception at The Drexelbrook in the fall of 2021. Jenna was kind enough to give us some insight on what it was like planning and having her reception at Drexelbrook. Read all about her wedding below!

“Mike and I got engaged in July 2019 and began looking at wedding venues shortly after. We visited several, and ultimately decided on Drexelbrook – we loved the beautiful modern venue with hotel on-site, and the package that was offered was very appealing to us as far as value and what was included. The staff we met with were very knowledgeable and helpful as well. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic hit shortly after, and we were forced to make adjustments to our plans. We decided to still get married at church in September 2020, but we postponed our reception to the following September. The staff at Drexelbrook were understanding and helped us think through options and ultimately make the right decision for us and our guests. Fast forward a year, and we finally had our vow renewal ceremony and reception with all of our friends and family at Drexelbrook. The day was so memorable, and as stress-free as it possibly could have been.

Since we couldn’t have everyone with us at our original ceremony, we wanted to have a brief vow renewal ceremony with our full bridal party and all of our guests, which we had in the North Ballroom. It was a beautiful and elegant location with plenty of space. Cocktail hour in the Grand Lobby was equally elegant. Along with butlered hors d’ oeuvres and a long list of drink options at the bar, we selected the Sliders and the Antipasti stations – which everyone loved! Drexelbrook was also able to accommodate our musician for the ceremony and cocktail hour, which was a nice touch.

After cocktail hour, our reception kicked off in the South and Center Ballroom. The space was gorgeous, with lovely lighting and décor. It was exactly as we imagined it, and the staff at Drexelbrook helped our plans come to life. Our friends and family still talk about the food! Everything was delicious and the portions were quite large. Our meal options included the Tuscan Chicken, Short Rib, Crab Cakes, and Vegetable Napoleon. Our wedding cake designed by Sophisticakes was displayed in the ballroom, and we also had the ice cream station which our guests really enjoyed. Everyone had a wonderful time dancing, eating, and drinking. The night flew by! It was great to also have the Holiday Inn & Suites on-site for our guests. We had an after party at the adjacent Streetlight Kitchen & Bar so we could continue the fun later into the night.

Overall, we had an amazing wedding celebration at Drexelbrook, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to future brides and grooms!”
