Black and white photo of bride and groom infront of the Drexelbrook Mansion

Just like any bride, I wanted to have a memorable wedding. Shortly after reserving a date at my church, my parents and I began our search for a location for the reception and a second ceremony. Knowing the importance of this step, we visited several locations, and after much reflection, we decided on Drexelbrook. That was one of the smartest decisions we ever made.

Wedding Seating Chart Sign

The sign displays “pick a seat, not a side, you are loved by both the Groom and the Bride.”

Little did we know how much planning was involved! Under the guidance of Chrissy, our wedding coordinator, everything was perfect.

Let me warn future brides about how involved planning a wedding can become! One benefit of Drexelbrook is that they not only helped us with the reception, but advised us, even held our hands, to assist us with any and all questions we had regarding the entire wedding, not just the reception. Their staff, from the top down, were just wonderful.

There was not one person who was not pleasant and helpful through the entire process, from the start of planning to the last minutes of the reception. Managers, waiters, bartenders, security, you name them, were the best!

On a sunny June day, every detail and all of our visions truly came to life thanks to the wonderful staff at Drexelbrook. They more than surpassed our expectations.

The beautiful facility, the wonderful staff, and the outstanding quality of all of the various foods made for a remarkable day we will never forget.

After our Catholic ceremony off-site, we took some photos before arriving at Drexelbrook for our second ceremony: a Jewish ceremony under the Chuppah in the North Ballroom. Everything we provided to Drexelbrook for the benefit of our guests was set up so nicely throughout the entire evening. They even set up a private room for the signing of our Ketubah.

At the conclusion of our ceremony, all of our guests adjourned for Cocktail Hour, where they enjoyed a multitude of butlered Hors d’Oeuvres and Stations for Sliders, Pasta Primo, and Pad Thai to satisfy the appetites of everyone.. During the Cocktail Hour, a slideshow of family pictures of our choosing were flashed up on the large TV’s behind the main bar.

When it was time to move into the Grand Ballroom, the doors were thrown open and the view was amazing. The table settings were wonderful, all of the floral arrangements from Eventricity had been set properly, and the staff was at the beck and call for whatever we or our family and guests needed. The food was just as good as it was at the tasting we attended a few months prior.

Every one of our guests raved about the quality of the food. Service throughout the entire night was truly white glove.

We had chosen the Tuscan Chicken, Salmon Stuffed with Crab, and the Grilled Filet Mignon. It was hard just choosing one item, but we knew whatever our guests selected was the best! Our guests ate, drank, and danced. There was not a sad face in the crowd. Our beautiful 4-tier wedding cake designed by Sophisticakes was set up for all of our guests to see, and was a proper introduction for dessert time. In addition to the Sweet Endings stations, we also had the Deluxe Viennese presentation, and our friends and neighbors are still talking about all of the wonderful options.

As if that were not enough, Drexelbrook was even able to provide something special, which we requested for when our guests were leaving. In a true Philadelphia tradition, we wanted to serve them cheesesteaks when they left so they would have something to eat on the ride home, or have for the next day!

P.S. The newly built Holiday Inn was an added plus that our out of town guests enjoyed, along with their welcome bags we supplied, which were handed out by the staff to each of our guests upon their arrival!
